MATTHEW FENG

Matthew Feng, MD

If you’re looking for an eye doctor or ophthalmologist, Price Vision Group in Indianapolis is home to some of the finest in the field. Dr. Matthew Feng is Board-certified and was hand-picked by Dr. Price, in part, for his high level of training and expertise in complex corneal procedures. Dr. Feng also has a warm, engaging personality that helps put patients at ease. He is dedicated to providing exceptional level of care, not just for the eyes, but for the whole patient.

Education and Experience

Dr. Feng graduated magna cum laude from Harvard and earned the prestigious honor of being selected as a Dean’s Merit Scholar at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He was co-chief resident at the University of Arizona, where he discovered his interests in cornea, cataract, glaucoma, and LASIK surgery. He completed his cornea fellowship training here at Price Vision Group, after which the practice was eager to bring him on board as a cornea specialist.

Dr. Feng has published multiple peer-reviewed journal articles, textbook chapters, and surgical videos. He serves as a peer reviewer for several journals and is an assistant editor for the Digital Manual of Ophthalmic Surgery and Theory. He has spoken at numerous national and international conferences, where his work has received coverage in magazines such as Ophthalmology Times and Euro Times. He has earned numerous awards, honors, and distinctions, including:

  • Newsweek Top Ophthalmologist Award, 2022
  • American Academy of Ophthalmology Secretariat Award, 2022
  • Newsweek Top Ophthalmologist Award, 2021
  • American Academy of Ophthalmology Achievement Award, 2019

Dr. Feng performs all surgeries involving the anterior segment, or front part of the eye, including but not limited to: DMEK, DSAEK, DALK, and PK transplants; cataract surgery with implantation of light adjustable lenses, astigmatism-correcting lenses, and advanced technology presbyopia-correcting lenses; LASIK and PRK laser corrective surgery for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism; keratectomies with and without amniotic membrane grafts; lasers for secondary cataracts and select floaters; and corneal cross-linking for keratoconus and other corneal ectasia.

Dr. Feng, The Person

Dr. Feng’s hobbies include nature photography, travel, in-line skating, and classical piano. Once upon a time, he played at Carnegie Hall. Tragically, Dr. Feng is a rabid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He now resides in Carmel with his two children and goldendoodle.
