The Ocular Disease Fellowship is a one-year post-doctoral fellowship designed to prepare optometrists for a career in clinical practice and/or research by developing exceptional clinical skills and extensive ocular disease knowledge. Fellows will work with experienced clinical physicians to manage anterior and posterior disease and perioperative care for multiple anterior segment surgeries. Price Vision Group is a tertiary referral center specializing in cornea and anterior segment disease. We are global leaders in corneal transplants, refractive surgery, and cataract surgery. Our site provides strong exposure to anterior segment ocular disease, various types of surgical pre/post-ops, refractive procedures, and a fair amount of posterior segment disease. The opportunity to participate in clinical research is also available if interested as Price Vision Group participates in 12-15 clinical studies per year and publishes extensively in peer-reviewed journals.
This unique fellowship will give optometrists exceptional training and exposure to many ocular conditions. Fellows will have the many opportunities to observe various surgeries and minor procedures. After the fellowship program, optometrists will achieve core competencies related to anterior and posterior segment surgical care and applications of evidence-based practice.
