Kyle Welburn, DO, is a fellow at Price Vision Group with a passion for providing advanced anterior segment and corneal care to patients who might otherwise have limited access to specialized treatment. His long-term goal is to serve underserved populations both domestically and internationally, with a particular interest in bringing innovative ophthalmic care to patients in rural and semi-rural communities.

Dr. Welburn hopes to one day establish a multi-specialty eye clinic where patients can receive comprehensive care for nearly any ocular condition in a welcoming, patient-centered environment. He is also passionate about clinical research and advancing treatment options for anterior segment and corneal disease. Through research and clinical trials, he hopes to help bring promising new therapies from the laboratory to the patients who need them most.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Welburn finds plenty of ways to stay busy with his wife and their two young children. He enjoys spending Saturday evenings playing favorite board games with his family or heading out together for a new activity. Music is also an important part of his life, and he regularly practices musical instruments, which he considers “instrumental” to keeping him happy and sane.

When it comes to sports, Dr. Welburn readily admits that he is the world’s worst racquetball player, but that hasn’t stopped it from being his favorite sport to play. One of his favorite vacations was a weekend in the Colorado mountains with his wife, where they enjoyed kayaking and hiking together. He also loves to cook and considers himself capable of making just about anything in the kitchen, with one notable exception: quesadillas.
