Dr. Janvi Patel grew up on the west side of Indianapolis and is excited to be back home after spending several years in California. She attended IUPUI, where she studied Biology and Business, before heading west to earn her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry.

Dr. Patel is currently an Ocular Disease Resident at Price Vision Group, where she has a particular interest in corneal disease, refractive care, and post-operative management. She enjoys working alongside experienced ophthalmologists and providing thoughtful, comprehensive care to patients.

Her long-term career goal is to give back to communities in India where access to quality eye care is limited. She hopes to use her training and experience to help expand access to eye care and improve the lives of patients through better vision and quality of life.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Patel enjoys going to the gym, taking long walks, and traveling to experience new cultures and foods. She also enjoys competing with her fiancé in the New York Times games, although she takes pride in beating him whenever she can. Her day is rarely complete without a chai or matcha.

Dr. Patel’s favorite trip so far has been to Singapore and Malaysia, where she enjoyed exploring the local cultures and cuisine. While she misses life in the Bay Area, she is especially happy to be back in Indianapolis and closer to family.
